HOUSE CHURCH- Praise- filled warriors!

The Lord made a profound statement centuries ago that I believe is still before Him today. God said, “I have pardoned them(Israelites) according to your word (Moses), but indeed, ALL the earth WILL be filled with the GLORY OF THE LORD!” (Numbers 14:20-21)

The Lord made an oath centuries ago that He will fulfill. His Word will not return void. So who is this generation that will cooperate with such an oath? There must be such a people that arise! It’s the chief desire of the Father’s heart to present Himself to a holy nation and a royal priesthood and use them to fill the earth with His glory!! Who are the people that will be trusted to carry such a call? I believe it’s the radiant, end-time bride found in Proverbs 31. This is a holy work within us that the Lord Himself is watching over to complete it!! This bride is one who has given herself fully to the Lord which leads me to address the topic of worship and it’s vital role in our lives.

Worship is not merely about a song. It’s so much more! Worship is to honor with extravagant love and extreme submission (Webster’s Dictionary,1828). The Lord looks for worshipers who worship in spirit and truth. (John 4:24) The Bible doesn’t say he looks for worship. It’s surrendered, love-stuck worshipers who are the biggest threat to darkness. The following passage found in Psalms gives us a look at these praise-filled warriors and the power that is released in their worship.

“God’s high and holy praises fill their mouths, for their shouted praises are their weapons of war! These warring weapons will bring vengeance on every opposing force and every resistant power— to bind kings with chains and rulers with iron shackles. Praise-filled warriors will enforce the judgment-doom decreed against their enemies. This is the glorious honor he gives to all his godly lovers. Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!”

Psalms 149:6-9 TPT

I have personally leaned heavily on worship in difficult seasons as a way to protect my heart and mind when the enemy seemed to be knocking on my door. When prayers could no longer be prayed due to the pressure that was upon me, I would just sit quite before the Lord and pour out my heart in worship to Him. Pastor said it perfectly, “ You will either become a prisoner of war or a person of worship, either way you will be a POW!” You must make the choice. The beauty in this right choice is that you are transformed in the process. May we become the people who the Lord is searching for that carry such a call of His presence to the nations!!

QUESTIONS:

2. Would you consider yourself a worshiper? Why or why not?

3. Do you desire to grow as a worshiper? What does this mean for you?
