We have been anointed to grow, and the season to grow is now!
Pastor Bobby’s ask this week is that you will help your group make a conscious, deliberate, intentional commitment to grow personally and corporately.
In Gen 1:28, we are to be fruitful and multiply. We are designed to grow but growth is never accidental. In Mark 4:25 and in Mat 13:12 Jesus is stating the Law of grow or die. We either grow or we die. Either we are getting closer to God or we are moving away from God. We are either being conformed to His image or we are being conformed to the devil and this world. There is no middle ground. If we are not intentionally living our lives to grow on purpose, we will die. Growth is an intentional decision on how we are going to steward the grace of God given to us. 1 Peter 4:10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. Stewardship refers to the way time, talents, wealth are used or given for the service of God.
Consider and discuss the following:
1. Have we made a commitment to grow? If not, why?
2. What is preventing us from making a commitment to grow? Have we made Jesus truly Lord of our lives or is he a ticket to get out of hell card?
3. In what areas are we going to be intentional in growing? In Loving Him with all our heart? In Abiding in Him and his word? In faith? In thinking no evil?
Jesus reminds us that spiritual growth follows momentum, positive or negative. So let us … Take heed… with the same measure you use, it will be measured to you …For whoever has, more will be given to him and whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him (Mk 4:21-25)
The prophetic word given to us for this year is that God has crowned this year with His goodness so make every effort in prophesying and declaring the 2022 Declaration throughout this year.
